Dawei's Digital Radiography (DR) systems offer superior image clarity, user-friendly operation, and reliable performance. With advanced technology and proven durability, these systems help healthcare providers make accurate diagnoses quickly and efficiently. Partnering with Dawei ensures top-tier imaging solutions that elevate your diagnostic capabilities.

What is a Digital Radiography (DR) System?

A digital radiography (DR) system is a modern X-ray solution that replaces traditional film with digital detectors. It captures images instantly and displays them on a computer within seconds, making the workflow faster and more efficient.

In everyday use, a DR system usually consists of an X-ray generator, a flat-panel detector, and an image workstation with dedicated software. These components work together to produce clear, high-quality images that support accurate diagnosis.

Today, DR systems are widely used in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers for routine examinations such as chest, spine, and limb imaging. With a fully digital process, images can be easily adjusted, stored in PACS, and shared across departments or even with remote specialists when needed.

What Types of Digital Radiography (DR) Systems Does Dawei Medical Offer?

Dawei Medica knows that different clinical environments call for different DR solutions. A busy radiology room, a crowded ward, and an operating theater each come with their own demands. That’s why we offer three types of DR systems designed for real-world use.

Fixed dual-column systems are built for high-volume exams in dedicated X-ray rooms.

Mobile and portable systems make bedside imaging possible for patients who can’t be easily moved.

C-arm systems provide real-time imaging support during surgery and interventional procedures.

Fixed Dual‑Column DR Systems

Fixed Dual‑Column DR Systems

Dawei Medical’s fixed dual-column DR systems are built as floor-mounted units for busy X-ray rooms. With a dedicated table and vertical stand, they make patient positioning straightforward and enable a full range of routine exams to be completed in one place without unnecessary repositioning. They are well-suited for hospitals and imaging centers that handle a steady flow of chest, spine, and extremity cases every day.

The RD-865Z is our high-end dual-column DR system, featuring a 65 kW generator, a floating table, and wired or wireless flat-panel detectors. It also includes assisted positioning and imaging software to support efficient workflow and consistent image quality.

The RD-850X/832X  are more straightforward, cost-effective options for general radiography rooms. Sitting between these two levels, the RD-850RS/832RS offers a balanced choice, combining solid performance with practical features for facilities that need more flexibility without moving to a fully high-end system.

Mobile and Portable DR Systems

Mobile and Portable DR Systems

Dawei Medical’s mobile and portable DR systems bring X-ray imaging right to the patient, which is especially important for ICU, trauma, post‑operative and infectious disease patients who should not be moved frequently. Whether in the ward, ICU, emergency room, or outside the hospital, they make it easier to complete exams without moving patients who may be fragile or in critical condition, which is the practical choice for bedside imaging, emergency use, and mobile screening.

The range of mobile DR systems, including the RD-640 and the RD-500, supports different bedside and point-of-care needs. With a compact design, high-frequency generator, and flat-panel detector, they allow staff to carry out chest, limb, and other routine exams directly in wards, ICUs, emergency rooms, or temporary screening sites—without relying on a fixed DR room.

The RD-550 is designed for even greater mobility. It packs into a dedicated case and can be carried by one person, with optional stands to suit different setups. This makes it a practical option for field screening, mobile clinics, remote areas, and emergency situations where a standard X-ray room isn’t available.

C-arm X-ray System

C‑Arm X‑Ray Systems

C-arm X-ray systems are used for real-time imaging during surgery and interventional procedures. The RCM-605 and RCM-605Xprovide clear fluoroscopic images, helping surgeons see bones, joints, implants, and instruments as they work. Their C-shaped arm and mobile design make it easy to adjust positions and capture images from different angles without frequently moving the patient.

In daily practice, they are commonly used in orthopedics, trauma, spine and joint procedures, as well as in urology and pain management. They support tasks like fracture fixation, implant placement, joint reduction, and other minimally invasive procedures by offering continuous imaging guidance, which helps improve accuracy and efficiency.

The RCM-605 series also includes digital image processing, dose control, and user-friendly software, allowing quick adjustments while keeping radiation exposure under control.

FAQ

How do I choose between fixed, mobile and C‑arm DR systems?

The right choice depends on how and where the system will be used. Fixed dual-column DR systems suit high-volume exams in radiology rooms, while mobile and portable systems are better for bedside use or places without a dedicated X-ray room. C-arm systems are used in the operating room when real-time imaging is needed during procedures.

What support and training does Dawei provide after installing a DR system?

After installation, Dawei Medical provides training to help your team become familiar with the system and start using it with confidence. Ongoing support is also available through our global service network, helping keep your DR system running reliably over time.

What clinical departments can benefit from Dawei DR systems?

Dawei Medical DR systems are used across a wide range of settings, including radiology departments, emergency and intensive care units, operating rooms, and specialties like orthopedics, trauma, and spine care. They’re also a good fit for community hospitals and mobile screening projects that need quick, reliable X-ray imaging.
Can Dawei DR systems be integrated with PACS or hospital information systems?

Dawei DR systems support standard DICOM connections, making it easy to send images to PACS and share them with other hospital systems as part of a smooth digital workflow.
What is the typical warranty period for Dawei digital radiography systems?

Dawei Medical offers a two-year warranty for its DR systems, including technical support and service during this period. After the warranty ends, we continue to provide long-term guidance and maintenance support.
